چکیده

In array signal processing, direction of arrival (DOA) estimation has typically play a key role. Its task is to find the directions impinging on an array antenna to increase the performance of the received signal. How to let DOA estimation methods are applicable to most environments, has become the key of technique implementation. The previous traditional algorithms can get superior performance for DOA estimation in the rich receiving conditions, but they are not fit for adverse environment such as low SNR, small number of array elements or snapshots, etc. In order to improve the performance of DOA estimation, the new method based on wavelet operator is proposed. Moreover, the method is respectively applied to multiple signal classification (MUSIC) and estimation of signal parameter via rotation invariance techniques (ESPRIT) to get new algorithms named WMUSIC and WESPRIT. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed method can obtain higher resolution and accuracy to compare with traditional MUSIC and ESPRIT in low SNR environment. Undoubtedly, the new method expands the application range of traditional DOA estimation algorithms and has widely practical prospects in future.

This paper proceeds directions of arrival (DOA) estimation by a linear array. These years, some algorithms, e.g. Khatri-Rao approach, Nested array, Dynamic array have been proposed for estimating more DOAs than sensors. These algorithms can merely estimate uncorrelated sources. For Khatri-Rao approach, this is due to the fact that Khatri-Rao product discard the non-diagonal entries of the corre...

Improve Method on DOA Estimation Accuracy of Signal Subspace Sensitivity Based on Mutual Coupling Matrix

The performance of the DOA algorithm and many other high resolution methods degrades severely with the high correlated multipath signals encountered in target low angle tracking. DOA estimation error is overcome by deriving new version of the effects model error and sensitivity analysis on subspace methods. An improved algorithm for DOA estimation of coherent signal is proposed. This algorithm ...

Direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of audio signals is critical in different areas, including electronic war, sonar, etc. The beamforming methods like Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR), Delay-and-Sum (DAS), and subspace-based Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) are the most known DOA estimation techniques. The mentioned methods have high computational complexity. Hence using...

High Resolution Direction of Arrival (DOA) Estimation Based on Improved Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) Algorithm by Iterative Local Searching

DOA (Direction of Arrival) estimation is a major problem in array signal processing applications. Recently, compressive sensing algorithms, including convex relaxation algorithms and greedy algorithms, have been recognized as a kind of novel DOA estimation algorithm. However, the success of these algorithms is limited by the RIP (Restricted Isometry Property) condition or the mutual coherence o...
